New Patients

The initial treatment lasts for a minimum of 1 hour and will include a full assessment of your condition, which ensures that you are given the correct therapy. Subsequent appointment lengths vary, according to the conditions being treated, and will be agreed in advance with individual patients.

We take a 50% deposit at the time of booking for all new patients. This is for your first appointment only and is payable over the phone by credit or debit card, or by BACS transfer.
The amount you have paid will be deducted from the price of your first treatment and may be carried over if you change the date, providing we have at least 24 hours notice.
Your deposit is non-refundable if less than 24 hours notice is given for a missed appointment.
It will be refunded in full if your appointment is cancelled with more than 24 hours notice.

We offer a £10 discount for your first session, and if you have been recommended to us, your referrer will also receive a £10 treatment voucher.

It would be very helpful and save time during your assessment if you are able to email us some information before your first appointment. Please email us at info@holisticare.co.uk and include the following details:

  • full name, address, phone numbers, email, date of birth, GP
  • medical history from your whole life, including  operations, broken bones, injuries, medical conditions, birth trauma and any physical or emotional events that have had an impact on you. Please try to give the year or how old you were for each event.
  • a time line of your present condition, including xray or scan reports if possible

Non-attendance

24 hours notice is required if you are unable to attend for your appointment. If you do not inform us, you will be charged for your appointment.

Payment

Fees are payable at the end of each treatment session. Cash, debit cards, credit cards or cheques (payable to Holisticare Ltd) are accepted.

Intensive Treatment Programme

If you would like to attend for an intensive week of Myofascial Release lasting one, two or three weeks, please contact us to discuss treatment options and prices.

Multi-Therapist Treatment

Please enquire about this option when booking if you are interested. Charges will vary depending on which therapists are treating you; the total cost is the sum of treatments with the individual therapists. It is possible to book up to four therapists for your treatment session.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are available for all of the treatment options. We can personalise your voucher with the recipient' s name and any other message you would like.

Referral Process

We do not need a referral letter to treat you – most of our patients refer themselves for therapy. To ensure that your GP is kept informed, and with your permission, we send a summary of your treatment to them.

However it is useful for us to see the report from any scans or xrays that you have had, if you have access to them.

Referrals are also accepted from any health professional or social worker.

Once you have contacted us, an appointment will be made for you to come to be assessed. This will enable us to give you the treatment which is most beneficial to you.

Following your assessment, we will discuss with you what treatment you will be given, and how long future appointments will take.

Depending on your circumstances, and only with your permission, we can also work closely with your family, GP, hospital consultant, social worker, or any other professionals who are involved in your care.

Health Insurance

Please check with us that we are registered with your health insurance company before claiming. If you are claiming for Physiotherapy, your treatment must be with one of our Physiotherapists, however if your policy covers Complementary Health you can be treated by any of our therapists.

Payment may be claimed back with an invoice, or the insurance company can be invoiced directly. This varies, depending on who you are with. Please let us know at your first session how your insurance company works.

If we are invoicing directly we need your policy and claim numbers. Please note that without a current authorisation from your insurance company, you will be required to pay for any treatment that you receive.

Most insurance companies require a written referral from your GP or Consultant before the course of treatment begins. This needs to be done before your treatment commences with us.

If you are unsure, please contact us to clarify things before treatment starts.
